seven no evil monkeys–symbols of ancient eastern wisdom as much as of contemporary western moral disengagement–are filmed in a dance/military choreography and projected through a circular mirror. seven fragments of music for guitar accompany the characters in a ritual journey of transfiguration.
"the three wise monkeys which once represented moral steadfastness are today noted as poor teachers of social indifference and individualism. in audi, vide, tace, teresa cos presents a rite of annulment in which the historical narration is just the prelude to a ceremony of transfiguration. accompanied by a visual and audio score, the monkeys that don’t see, hear and speak emerge from their state of paralysis in which both the legends blocked them, and into a mirroring rite, the goals of which are voluntarily cancelled".
